Year-End Message

As we wrap up the year, we’re still feeling the incredible energy of the 2025 Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival, a year that truly struck all the right chords.

This past summer, the festival welcomed an estimated 15,000 people over four unforgettable days, making 2025 our most successful year yet. With record attendance, sold-out concerts, and vibrant free programming throughout the Village, Fort Langley once again came alive with music, art, and celebration.

Festival-goers enjoyed world-class Canadian headline concerts alongside free, family-friendly performances, youth concerts, hands-on art workshops, and Indigenous cultural showcases. From the Thursday big band concerts, Friday night Cool Blues and the Tribute to Aretha Franklin show to three outdoor stages of free music and roaming performers throughout the Village, the festival buzzed with energy all weekend long.

Our arts programming was equally vibrant, featuring kids’ workshops, acrylic painting sessions, Mehndi art, and powerful Indigenous cultural demonstrations, including Indigenous flute and Eagle Dance performances, wood carving, storytelling, and music and dance.

As we reflect on an incredible 2025 festival, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the performers and artists, our generous sponsors and partners, and the 125+ dedicated volunteers, along with our fantastic crew, and staff who made it all possible.

We also thank our Board of Directors for contributing hundreds of volunteer hours throughout the year:

·       Andy Schildhorn (Co-Founder & Chair)

·       Glen Russell (Finance)

·       Jeanette Martin (Outreach)

·       Petrina Arnason (Policy).

Their leadership and commitment are the foundation of this Festival.

As arts organizations grapple with rising costs and limited funding, our festival provides a vital platform where artists and audiences connect. More than just a weekend of music, it is a celebration of creativity, community, and economic vitality.

We’ve gathered some of our favourite moments from the 2025 festival, from unforgettable performances to joyful community moments, in our online photo gallery. View the full gallery here.

We are also excited to share the 2025 Impact Report, highlighting the Festival’s achievements, community engagement, youth programming, economic impact and attendee feedback from this past year.

We wish you a wonderful year ahead. Thank you for being part of our festival community - we can’t wait to share what’s next.

With gratitude,

Karen Zukas, Executive Director
