Fort Langley photographer amps up arts component of village festival

Arts have always been a part of this weekend’s jazz fest in Langley.
But the village’s own Lou Fasullo, an award-winning photographer, is adding his own form of art to the annual Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival.
He will be presenting a special photographic exhibition celebrating the beauty, history, and character of Fort Langley on Sunday, July 26, at the Chief Sepass Theatre. His display, entitled “Fort Langley Through Your Lens,” will be available for viewing in the theatre foyer from 6 to 10 p.m.
“The exhibition features a carefully curated collection of images that capture the essence of Fort Langley – its historic streets, iconic landmarks, the Fraser River, local wildlife, and the everyday moments that make the community one of British Columbia’s most treasured destinations,” said Fasullo, who is also a frequent contributor of community photographs to the Langley Advance Times.
Through his photographs, Fasullo entices visitors to see Fort Langley from what he calls “a fresh perspective, revealing the stories woven into its landscapes and heritage.”
A Fort Langley resident for more than 15 years, Fasullo has spent decades documenting the community through changing seasons, festivals, and quiet moments.
His passion for storytelling through photography has earned recognition for his wildlife and landscape work, while his documentary approach reflects a lifelong belief that every photograph should tell a story.
“This exhibition is my way of giving back to a community that has inspired me every day,” said Fasullo.
“Fort Langley is more than a historic village – it is a place where history, nature, and community come together. I hope these photographs encourage people to slow down, look a little closer, and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.”
