WAVE 98.3 has been a sponsor of the Festival for as long as they’ve been in business, and we are so grateful!

WAVE 98.3 is a radio station in the Lower Mainland playing cool music for adults. It’s been a long time since a radio station has played the kind of diverse music like smooth jazz, soul, R&B, Motown and your favourites from the 1970’s and 80s. They’re celebrating two years on the air and online at www.wave983.fm this summer!

We sat down with them to find out why they continue to sponsor our Festival.

Why did you choose to become a sponsor of the Festival?

We believe it’s important to support diverse and unique Canadian talent, styles and constituencies. The Fort Langley Jazz and Arts Festival provides a fantastic opportunity for up-and-coming musicians, as well as established players and has a programming philosophy in step with WAVE 98.3.

What do you love most about the Festival?

Who wouldn’t love a music festival in a historic spot like Fort Langley! Music, art, food, drinks, all on a (hopefully) sunny weekend in Fort Langley!

What is the importance of supporting a local non-profit community festival like ours?

It’s important to support the local work that keeps diverse musical styles in the public eye. If it weren’t for community organizers like those behind the Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival, we’d all be poorer for it. Music makes the world go round!
