Kidz Zone will be jam-packed with all sorts of free and fun music-themed art activities, workshops and entertainment for the whole family!
Kidz Zone is located along Mary Street between Glover Road and Church Street, across the street from the community hall main stages.
Here’s a few of the fun art activities to be had!
Painting to Music workshop by Fraser Valley artist, Felicity Holmes combines music and art together, inspiring children and youth to create wonderful pieces while listening to and visualizing a piece of jazz music with paintbrush in hand.
Indigenous art infused festival button-making Create your own Northwest Indigenous art infused jazz button to commemorate your time at the festival. Choose from different button designs available to colour and create your own unique version.
Make Your Own Musical Instrument workshop led by Langley Centennial Museum: build and decorate maracas and guitars that you can play afterwards.
Recycled Outdoor Music Station led by Langley Centennial Museum: explore sounds and create instruments and noise makers using a variety of recycled materials.
What’s more, children can experience music first hand with these interactive fun activities:
Young Composers Corner by Langley Community Music School instructors where children can create their own original tunes using an assortment of Orff music instruments.
Instrument Petting Zoo by Long & McQuade for young people to learn about and have an opportunity to play various musical instruments on display.
Face Painter Extraordinaire
Award-winning face painter, Mrs. Picasso will have a palette of fun to create magical images for the young and young at heart!
